EDF bill payment on line

I've managed to finally register and log on to EDF. I viewed and paid

my bill - and think I was asked to print off a RIB that was generated

and send to my bank. I did print it off, but I wonder why I need to

sign and post to my bank? Am probably being dim I know but . . . . .

Your bank is supposed to have a record of all direct debit authorisations you have signed; although if you don't send it, it won't change anything, as providing there's enough money on your account, they'll be paid anyway.
