Concrete block houses

We live in a modernish [mid - seventies] house built with a half buried sous-sol. Construction is concrete block and render. I rather think it's hollow concrete block. However the outside walls let a lot of cold through in the winter, and heat in the summer.

Does anyone know if there is an effective cavity wall insulation available in France?

And the bad news....

unless your walls are built from two rows of seperate blocks rather than the large ones with holes in the cavity wall insulation would be of no use as the cold will simply use the bridge area and you could suffer condensation.

Either attach insulation to the outside or the inside of your walls.
