I received a form 2 years ago asking me if I had a television, and I replied that I did and then received the redevance. When I informed my husband he replied that in general people do not declare this unless they buy a new television (this way the shop has their address etc). In ireland you are always caught if you do not pay or inform that you have a television, is this not the case here? Deirdre

This is also what interests me. I am Irish and was under the impression that if I wanted French citizenship I would have to give up my Irish nationality.
