  1. When you uninstalled TL2, did you reboot the pc when it had finished? It's fairly vital you do this, because there will be entries remaining in the registry, plus broken links and .dll files scattered everywhere. If you re-install without rebooting, the fresh install will simply pick up a load of those previous entries and put you back to square 1! I generally reboot twice following an uninstall, then use a registry cleaner to shift any remaining rubbish, then reboot again ............. and if all is good, create a new restore point in 'System Restore'. It sounds to me also, as if TL2 hasn't picked up the fact that you have already created an eBay seller account and that you are creating a new account from TL2! I have a similar problem, (since the latest update) in that it thinks I've only just created my Paypal account and warns me that PP may retain payments for a time! I've also never been able to create a BIN listing that requires the buyer to pay immediately by Paypal anyway ............... says my account needs to be Confirmed etc! Bear in mind I have used PP for 5 years now, with a Confirmed and US Verified account, and have a feedback rating of around 1000! .................. Hmmmmmm Another problem I have with it, is I can't now simply duplicate another listing from my sold items folder - because of the new synchronisation facility, they're now dead and buried as far asTL2 is concerned. I've no idea what the programmers have done to it, but it's even more broken than before! The only upside is that it's still easier than listing on-line ..................once you get used to its new quirks that is! Keep persevering, you're in good company!
  2. I started bulk uploading to eBay with TL1 about 5 years ago, then was forced to downgrade to TL2 when eBay were supposed to have sorted out a broken and crippled Beta version! IMHO it's still a broken and crippled version, so I'm not too surprised you're having problems with it. That being said, I've never out of all versions and reloads of it that I've had to use, ever had a request for a 6 digit pin code. The latest update I made following a 3 month stint in France, included 7Mb of security updates which now requires TL2 to log into your eBay account and be verified before it will upload anything - quite what the difference is I've no idea, as it's always done that anyway!. I think it's meant to be an attempt to get around the problem of hi-jacked seller accounts, where usernames and passwords have been trawled from folks logging into 'their accounts' via spoof Emails.  Is the pin number meant to be the password do you think? Open the TL2 programme, on the top toolbar, click 'Tools' then 'Options' from the drop down menu's, you can check your personal details from there, see if your eBay username and password have been set - you should have been asked for these when you installed the programme. You can also 'change user' from this section too, so you could try adding your self again as another user with the same account details, just to see if it works. Before I'd give any more advice though,I have to ask,  are you using a decent firewall and anti-spyware programme?, and is your computer set to receive automatic updates? (assuming you're using XP or Vista). If you're not doing at least one of those things, I wouldn't even get on-line let alone try to log into eBay until your pc is more secure. Have you ever logged into your eBay account from a link in an Email asking you to update your account details???? If you have done that at any time at all, I would strongly recommend you log into your eBay account and change your password pdq, and make it a mix of upper and low case letters and a string of numbers. When any programme starts wanting to do strange things, I get very nervous, and I've never seen TL in any flavour ask for what it's asking you. I wouldn't depend upon eBay getting back to you in a hurry too, I doubt they have standard Email reply that fits your query, but you may get lucky! Best regards
