Does anyone have any ideas on how best to preserve or store shallots?  They are very expensive in the shops at the moment which is odd as they are in season.  I have a great crop of them and presume I can store them in a similar fashion to onions. Any advice would be a great help. Thanks

Mmmm  I wonder if maybe we are jsut being too British.    Luckiky I hate peas and frozens too.
