I keep your eyes peeled, with half term coming and UK cases falling I think the rules will be relaxed.

I will apply over the weekend twitter to mp4 and see what they say As an international standard document
If your vehicle is Euro class 6 standard, most cars after 2015 should be. You should be OK. Also Doris on Facebook 😂 says that post Brexit the DVLA and the French equivalent no longer share number plate information. Do you feel lucky

Wow, that's good advice, any more little nuggets we need to know?

Nothing like as hot as 2003 when the canicule hit France. I remember it well, we were touring around the Gers region viewing properties in a car that didn't have air conditioning.

This system has worked in the UK for some time, Number Plate recognition. In the UK it's no longer necessary to have a road fund licence on your windscreen. I believe that every Police car in the UK now has a Number plate recognition camera on board. The technology today is amazing, this afternoon I was sitting in a French hospital car park while my wife saw a consultant concerning her upcoming carpal tunnel procedure, after getting bored playing Solitaire on my phone I noticed that certain cars went through the exit barrier without putting money into the machine. Looking at my car park ticket I realised it had our number plate printed on it. So obviously every entrance ticket has the same allowing staff to leave without paying. The Euro Tunnel is the same as when you pull up at the check in your car registration and your name appears on the screen. I thought it's a shame that UK hospital trusts don't allow the same privilege to their staff.

Bog standard and very sensible in my opinion especially on small country roads. Sometimes a bigger vehicle is first to the lights and blocks the view of following cars of the reason for the obstruction.

I don't often post primarily because there are very few posters so you tend to get the same people saying pretty much the same thing all the time, add in that some are overly aggressive and it's not a pleasant experience to engage in any sort of discussion.
Not like the scottish mafia UK hating mob eh? Nothing agressive over there is there? ? ?

We ploughed through our returns today with help and finally found the S1 boxes, I have to ask why they are so complicated? When I was working I was freelance for over 40 years and did my tax returns every year, a walk in the park compared to the French forms. This is the second year we've had to do this and are quiet happy to pay our dues even with the complex system. When I was a young lad and complained about paying tax, an older colleague said, just thank your self lucky that you earn enough to pay it, lots of people dont.

I wonder if it's my browser, Google Chrome. I'll try Firefox or Microsoft Edge, and see if there is any difference.
I tried the other browsers, no difference. Never mind it's not the end of the world. ? ?

I have no problem accessing the articles, not the ones in The Telegraph that you sometimes say you can't read Nick...

I tried to edit my comment about the paywall to add that I thought the article was of interest albeit restricted , but the forum software wouldn't allow it, saying that my editing attempt was too late, for heavens sake it was 5 minutes. Can't the powers to be do something about this silly rule?

What I learned over the years as an elected local union representative in my industry; plus in those days a fee paying member of the old Labour party, you know the real one, not the momentum based one of today, Was that MPs and indeed career Union representatives compromised themselves so much to get where they are going, once they got there they couldn't stop themselves, and think they are unaccountable to us mere mortals.

Thank you Judith exactly what I wanted to know. I'll get my magnifying glass in action ?

A quick question about the impots forms, is there a box to declare you have an S1 from the UK? I looked and can't see one
Also it it obligatory to offer the information and are there any benefits of doing so?

Our tiny village of 89 souls in the Loir et Cher voted 28 Le Pen, 18 for Macron.

Unfortunately Norman, the Toreygraph is paywall.

Shame it's a paywall article

What I don't understand is why nobody has been named or been bought to task for what went on. I watched the chair of the enquiry waffling on this morning on the news and really she said nothing, and it took her 5 years to come to that conclusion.

Any chance of getting rid of the half wit blocking up the New Activity section? I'm not interested in a Russian bed companion and I'm sure Norman wouldn't have room in his barrel to fit one in either. ?

I went into SuperU this afternoon and none of the staff were wearing masks , yet all the customers including me were, I knew of the new arrangements but chose to wear my mask, I will continue to do so for a while yet
