Hi I'm due to be driving overnight on Friday 22nd October from Calais to Sarlat in the Dordogne.  I'll need to refill along the way but the news reports here in the UK don't look promising with the current level of fuel shortages! What have been your experiences so far of mototways services?  Are they running dry? Thanks Eusi  

Leo where did you purchase your materials from and how much did you spend? I was considering purchasing the pipes, manifold and connectors etc from Brico Depot, but have been advised that the quality of their goods can be suspect!! Is this true of their flexible pipe range? If so, where would you recommend I purchase the materials from?

Hi - I'm renovating a stone barn in the dorgdogne region and I'll be installing the manifold/flexible pipe system to distribute hot/cold water around the property.  Can someone point me in the direction of guidance/top tips so I don't fall foul of common mistakes/pitfalls?  I've already read of the useful "FAQ - Oil Heating, Hot water production and plumbing funnies" post but was looking for a more indepth/step-by-step guide. Thanks

Hi I have a stone barn that I'm having converted in the Dordogne area. The property has a CU and planning permission has been granted for our plans which included putting in 2 new openings/windows. We now realise that we would like to have another opening/window installed. The window would not overlook any properties or gardens, just beautiful farmland and woods. Will I need to go through a formal planning application process again or is it a case of popping down to the Marie for a chat? Thanks in advance!
