  1. I would have thoght you have done enough to find her  true owners to no avail. I would go ahead and get everything done at the vets but keep all receipts and if anyone calls to claim her then say that you will return the cat as long as you are reimbursed for the outlay you have had. It does sound as though no one is really looking for her so I don't think I would worry too much.
  2. A few centuries ago my hair was  natural black and very long like Cher. Now I am going grey I have been using colours that are a good deal lighter and for several years my hair has been mid blonde but the sun over here bleaches it almost white so now I am colouring it a light to mid brown  I am going to do it again over the weekend after washing it numerous times so hopefully I will look as though I have not had a bad hair day. [:D]

Thank you for the info and I  am a little more optimistic now. As the saying goes " watch this space "
  4. Missed  this event but post when the next one is coming up. Are they on a once a month basis ?
  5. My uncle was taken off the Hood a week or so before it went down.  Facelift or Botox.,.both please, but I would be too scared to have either done.
  6. Oh my gosh, I feel so  much better  now as I know I can colour mine again in a few day. Maybe we should all grow old gracefully but I hate to admit defeat.
  7. True   !!!!  My OH shaves his head  as he has given up the battle but me, well, mine is shoulder length but ALL DIFFERENT COLOURS  sob sob.
  8. Thanks Russethouse. I will wait a while before I attempt another dye.  I knew this would be the afternoons entertainment and it is OK for all you blokes out there. You don't have to worry about this sort of thing or do you and you just don't admit to colouring your hair..mmmmm   [:D] [:D]
  9. I bet now the weather will be really nice so I have to go out instead  of sitting by the log burner and sending OH to the shops instead.
  10. It should have been very light brown and claims to blend in any grey. It has not touched the grey bits at all and it has made the rest of  my hair far too light. It is bearable but I want to dye it again so that I get an overall colour.
  11. NO chance. I am not the Sunday afternoon comedy show  [:D]
  12. I have just applied a permanant hair colour to my hair and I hate it. My own fault as I bought a cheaper one in UK instead of my usual one, pennny pinching. My question is how quickly can I apply a another one bearing in mind it is a permanant colour and I do not want my hair to fall out. Please say soon as I cannot stand this colour and it did not even cover my grey bits  YUK   [:(]

That is good news, Gardian, so I am not a muderer after  all.   I am a novice where fruit is concerned but slightly better with veggies. Thank  you for your reply.

My Raspberry patch was a real mess last year so I read in my gardening book how to prune it right back. First prune since I started it three years ago but now I think I may have murdered them all as all I have now are sticks that are looking very sad   No sign of life at all so any advice would be great.  I cut all the previous years growth away and  last years growth  cut down to about 18" in height but we have had a very hard winter so maybe I should have left them as they were and NO I did not cover them as it did not mention that in my gardening bible.  [:(]
  15. I have just read about this beautiful breed and what a fantastic CV they have. I have never heard of this breed but they sound truly amazing dogs and well suited to family living. Incredible breed  WOW.  [:D]
  16. I watched it this morning as well and I felt sick. These yobs will never learn as they are never given any real punishment for the crimes they commit.  I still love my homeland but I do despair at times but then it goes on everywhere but maybe other countries have a more severe punishment who knows.
  17. Rowan How absolutely ADORABLE. How did you resist her for so long, I would have taken her home with me on day one.  She certainly looks very well settled with her new Mum and she is going to be a very spoilt llittle lady. Welcome to the forum little Lily and we hope to get lots of updates and pix of you, you are a real sweetie and I am green with envy   [kiss]  [kiss].
  18. Go with your heart and not your head, Rowan. So many dogs needing a loving home but we cannot help them all so if one is loved that makes a difference.
  19. The rufuge  les-chiens-de-figeac appears to have this scheme unless I am reading it wrong. They have a considerable amount of older dogs so if I am right this could make a vast difference in re homing them.
  20. I knew you were weakening, Rowan. I am delighted for you and I am sure your little terrier will accept her in time. I have had rescue dogs for many years and a gentleman and a lady dog normally are fine. Sometimes two boys will clash but a friend of mine has three recue boys and they all get on great.  Once  you  get this lovely little lady please try to put some pics on here for all to admire her.  [:D]
  21. What a wonderful idea. So many older dogs will now benefit from this scheme and ten years of age can still mean several years of fun with a new owner.
  22. Does anyone know anything about the Charity who offers money for the SPA if older dogs are rescued  to cover vet bills ? The original thread is one of the missing ones but I just wondered if anyone had more info about this scheme. It might encourage a few more people to consider adopting an older poor dog who has no chance of a lovimg family to care for it in it's latter years.   I understand it is up to 600 euros toward the bills that may have to be paid over the few years these dogs have left.
  23. P.S.  John  I sent Jackie  2 messages via PM this morning. Hope she received them.
  24. Yes, I did receive her message and I sent a pm to one of the moderators who kindly got straight back to  me and explained a few points. Hopefully, it will be rectified in not so distant future.
