  1. I see that you are in the Vendee - we are in dept 19 ? Its a long way away ?
  2. Plenty of room - but max payload 1200kg - if you have any idea of the weight please advise.
  3. Hi All I am running down to 19(Meyssac) 13th October from NE Lincolnshire with a pretty well empty van - If anyone needs supplies which I can purchase easily or anything which they are not in a rush for please contact me - if I can help out for the price of a bit of fuel then we all win out (50 litres of paint for zac last trip) you will have to collect. Similarly going back north on 23rd - have storage at the other end so no big hurry to collect at that end.
  4. Hi Dave & Olive - Sorry I opened your link saw the gear was probably what I want but didnt note any details - The link will not work now - could you send it (or the details) again please. Did you see my previous post ?
  5. Hi - If you are matching up to existing pointing you may find that is is coloured - at my Point ? (builders merchant) they had a colour chart which they allowed me to borrow- and the local that I spoke to when admiring his pointing told me 2 of white sand to 1 of Coloured Chaux - mixed very dry - push in and sweep back as drying - stiff brush
  6. Hi Dave - thanks for that - this looks like the business. Have you experience of using this? Do you think it is something that could be hired so that I can try it out? I also have the whole of the external of the house (approx 350 sq metres of small random stones) this would be worth the cost if it is the right kit.
  7. Hi all I have recently acquired a property with a cave which is almost ready to occupy but needs pointing. The stone used for the arched ceilings throughout is relatively thin limestone/shale type and therefore there is nearly as much pointing to do as the existing stone. I have pointed my fireplace and understand the dry application technique necessary followed by brushing away of surplus. This works fine on vertical surfaces but in the roof area I have some quite deep cavities and most of what I am lifting ends up back on the board. I feel it almost lends itself to pumping/squeezing material in. Has anyone done overhead and learnt any secrets or of any equipment available for an amateur?
  8. Hi - I have only just registered and see your query - we are travelling out to Correzze this week and have no experience of 'fosse' - you mention an article - where is this ? I guess we really just need a list of do's & dont's
