Just found some more info... Many areas were due to have ReADSL (extended reach ADSL) on 1/09. France Telecom, however, with little explanation let the date pass before then advising that due to technical problems this date has been pushed back and may now be 1/11. There are a lot of seething French people out there ! If you want to know more, then take a look at the news items and forums on Ariase or try calling 1013 or 1014 (if your French is up to it !!). For my part, whilst disappointed, I am relieved as there is still hope !!

I have just tried on Ariase and it says this ........           Informations sur la Ligne Eligibilité ADSL Numéro de ligne :   My number  Ligne éligible en RE-ADSL Code Central France Telecom :   80815VRO  Répartiteur raccordé Central France Telecom :   VRON   ADSL Max impossible sur votre ligne Longueur de ligne :   6803 mètres    RE-ADSL disponible Affaiblissement (norme ARCEP) :   71.57 dB   Débit IP ADSL maximum :   512K (en RE-ADSL)   the more info then says   ADSL 512        Impossible - l'affaiblissement est trop important   Am I doomed ?     

Hi   Degroupetest has for some time been reporting that I should have extended ADSL from 01/09/2005 (given as provisional date). Now this date has passed it still reports the same thing and still shows as IMPOSSIBLE.   Does anyone have experience of how long before they update the info wrt the phone numbers or who I can go to to find out whether ReADSL was infact installed on this date ?   Many thanks in advance      

I have the same problem. We have just bought a Barracuda Classic for our Desjoyaux pool. We were sold a Cornea to go on the skimmer basket but the suction just doesnt seem to be enough to get the cleaner working. We thought we had rid the pipe of air but I am beginning to wonder whether we are just not doing it right. Like LePaul we have Wash - Filtration - Rinse - Backwash - Circulation - Closed which is set to Filtration and functions well. The pressure guage is reading 0.6 bar... is this too low ? Would really appreciate any help as this is driving us nuts and making us wonder whether we have just wasted £350 !!

I have just bought a house and now have the keys. In my letterbox shortly afterwards was a form as follows   Declaration Modele H1 Impots Locaux Locaux d'habitation et a usage professionnel contructions nouvelles.   The previous owner of the house is now in the process of building a house next door. Unfortunately I didn't take too close a look at the envelope this came in but I think this form must be meant for her for her new build to assess the habitation. Can anyone confirm that this likely to be the case and that I won't need to fill in a new form giving room dimensions for the habitation tax ?(Surely it just continues on from before but in my name ?)   Thanks in advance !

Don't like to dampen everyones enthusiasm but a couple of things to be aware of ... If the speedferry is cancelled for any reason (and there is currently only one ferry in service) you are on your own. We had this problem in the summer - engine trouble. The only way we could get back was a one way trip with Eurotunnel which cost £160 and Speedferries have not responded to our letters about it. The other aspect to be aware of - if you amend the booking, indeed you do pay £10 for the amendment but in addition you have to pay the going rate for the fare as if you were booking on that day which can bump it up quite a bit.   Finally, if the sea is rough but the ferry is still running then prepare for a difficult crossing unless you have a cast iron stomach ! Three out of five of us were extremely unwell and we are not normally travel sick! Before you think I am the eternal pessimist, we have had some successful crossings but it doesn't hurt to know the pitfalls !
