  1. What are the bombs greyman and where do you get them? Yes these are red spots, some with white heads, sometimes there is also what looks like a trail of red as though the blighter has dug its heels in and walked across me, do you have that too? My OH also had some, but not as many as me and our daughter none at all. We've been outside cutting wood and strimming in the garden so I don't even know if they come from outside or not. Also makes me wonder if they could be bites from dust mites or bed bugs (don't know if these bite or not). I agree, if my animals have had fleas I've never had bites and have spotted them with the flea combs. Thanks Cooperlola I think I'll get some of that too just in case.
  2. For about 3 weeks I have had several of these red spots, very itchy every day or night. They're not mosquito bites as they usually come up different with a raised area around the bite, these bites are nearly always in areas of the body like behind the knees, around the overhanging belly area (i'm ashamed to say I have one),under the armpits with a few on more obvious places of the body like legs and arms. I don't know if I am getting bit when I go outside or if there is something in the house that is doing it. I've tried a deet insect repellant which seemed to help a few times but I covered myself in it last night and still ended up with fresh bites this morning! We do have cats and dogs but they don't have fleas, I've thoroughly checked them all with a flea comb religiously. Any suggestions, I'm getting desperate.
  3. Glad to hear that things went well Rose, best wishes for continued progress.
  4. I think you should ask as much as you want, and he will probably be expecting it too. I always question and double question what my doctors say, sometimes I get strange looks like I am telling them their jobs but, I always smile and blame it on my English inquisitiveness.
  5. Why on earth don't these 2 public sector organisations get their dates right and get their acts together ??? Baffled!
  6. I hope your op went well today Rose, I too am another lady on thyroxine but so far haven't needed an op so the treatment is working. Good luck with your recovery - I'm not too far from you (Sarlat area) if you want to PM
  7. Once again the letter from CMU de B has to be returned by 15 Sept, I've contacted our tax office here and have been told our avis will be sent out by the end of September. Not very helpful. I contacted CPAM to ask if it is ok to send the documents I have in my possession and this is their reply "Pour faire suite à votre courriel, afin de compléter votre dossier de CMUC, vous devez fournir tous les justificatifs concernant les ressources effectivement perçues au cours des 12 mois civils précédant la demande. Joindre éventuellement l'avis d'imposition (ressources, composition du foyer) si vous l'avez en votre possession. Une attestation sur l'honneur, en l'absence de justificatifs " Am I correct in my translation that they are saying send what we have now and send the rest when we have it? Anyone else have this problem? Many thanks
  8. Just wondering how you got on John with using myexpatnetwork, is it value for money and do they provide a good service, I mean one worth paying for? If you've had any problems would appreciate hearing about them please.
  9. Not sure if anyone is allowed to post recommendation, but would appreciate any going that is in the region of Sarlat/Lot. Many thanks
  10. It is open now, not sure when it opened though

    courgettes

All I know is that they are getting lovely big flowers and you can see the small round courgette appearing nicely. It's only after a few days (in between the showers) that you realise the nice flower and plant have gone brown and dropped off. Fingers crossed for some sunshine then.

    courgettes

my round courgettes are flowering nicely and forming nice little baby courgettes, but, they're sort of going a brownish colour and dropping off before forming into nice, edible courgettes. Is it the wet weather? An insect? Any other suggestions please what might be wrong?
  14. Thanks Cooperlola, I didn't want to be late sending the form in so did in via paper and sent justicatifs too, so hope that is ok. Maybe next year online??
  15. I managed to work my way through the form online ok but am finding that it skips from section 4 to section 7 - there doesn't appear to be a section 5 on my paper form either but I need to fill in box 6DD, however it isn't there. I'm thinking I may just have to send in a paper version anyway so I can write these down. Is there likely to be a problem with doing this once registered to do it on line?
  16. Blessings counted, thanks Sue. I'll await if Parsnips has any answers.
  17. Thanks Sue for the explanation but I think I might have a problem. On my avis d'imposition prelevements sociaux 2009 on page 4 I have Revenues etrangers = the amount Base imposable = the same amount as revenue Taux de l'imposition = 0.50 % Montant de l'imposition - the amount Total net de l'imposition = the amount Montant net a payer = the amount but underneath that there is no other figure, it just says Le montant des prelevements sociaux figurant sur le present avis, and est verse a la security sociale et a differents organismes sociaux so I am confused, does this mean anything to you
  18. Thanks for your help. So just to clarify I add the figure for URSSAF and send a copy of the "attestation de versement" in box 6DD and the amount of CSG I correct the 0 already in the box and put the figure we paid? This is the figure on the avis d'imposition prelevements sociaux 2009 ? Oh and I forgot to ask, these figures only go on form 2042 don't they?
  19. Sorry forgot to ask, can we claim against our URSSAF contributions?
  20. Thanks Sue, as we pay the Contribution Sociale why is there a O in the box? Should we change it to the figure we paid last year?
  21. I apologise if this has been asked before, I did a search and found lots of posts re CSG but it didn't answer my question. "CSG deductible connue, calculee sur les revenus du patrimoine" already there is a typed figure of 0 in the box We don't receive a pension but declare offshore earnings and pay tax here in France. I am not sure what this is for could someone explain please? Is it anything to do with the Contributions Sociale - the sum to pay the country's deficit, which we pay annually? Do we put our cotisations we pay to URSSAF in this box? Thanks for help.
  22. I've struggled for the last 2 weeks with all the watering whilst my OH has been away, particularly the new leylandii recently planted all around our field, and then lo and behold, he returns and he hasn't had to water once! Like you say its gone so cold in the matter of days and I'm back in winter clothes. Roll on summer
  23. We have a mortgage with Credit Agricole bank and I'm not sure if this is right but someone mentioned that we get tax relief for having a mortgage? If so, where do we put it on the forms and do we put the total amount of mortgage or the amount we pay annually? Thank you, sorry if this is a silly question
  24. We are having the exact same problem as the OP, and as his posting was originally dated 2008 I just want to check if anything has changed since then that would affect us getting the signal? We are using the meter which says its a perfect signal, but still unable to get TV.
  25. well you wouldn't want those wriggly little blighters getting too sure of themselves now would you? LOL
