  1. I'm not writing for a publication, Tony. This is part of a social psychology research project at the Syracuse University in London, where my colleague is a professor. The findings will be published in various professional journals and used as a teaching resource by the University. There may or may not be other articles published in other magazines - France magazine, for example.
  2. I know this is an old posting but I'm now interested in breeding alpacas.  Any info woudl be gratefully received.
  3. I use 3:1 olive oil to balsamic vinegar, a little salt and pepper, whole grain mustard and a squashed whole garlic clove.  Put it in a jar shake it up and stick in the fridge.  The flavour gets better the longer you leave it.
  4. I'm co-writing a research paper with a UK based colleague on a comparative study of the health and education services available to children in difficulty and their families. I am particularly interested to here from anyone who has children with autism or similar problems and who would like to share their experiences both here and in the UK. All information with, of course, be treated with absolute confidentiality.
  5. Ask a French person and they'd "what birds that sing at night?". I live in the Limousin and have the pleasure of having nightingales in my garden from early april onwards.  I started to carry out a survey amongst the locals to see if any of them knew which bird it was (I only wanted to know the French name).  I got the same response every time.  It just goes to show that the rurals inhabitants must sleep very well!
  6. In order to cover yourselves under French inheritance laws, you would need to set up an SCI whcih is basically a French property holding company.  In this way you become shareholders of the company which owns the property. It is not as complicated as it sounds.  Notaires are often required to set up SCIs as part of a property puchase.  It can be done relatively quickly, once you have found your property and costs approx 1000 euros. Depending on where you are looking for a property, there is usually at least one English-speaking Notaire in the area. Good luck.
