Beware Ann,look what happened to us in my post!

I've just been online to check our bank account and to my horror we have been debited 2,200 euros in taxes by the local treasuary.Has anybody got an idea why? We have a bill for this years Fonciere but this is only for 560 Euros and has only just come through the post.The only thing I can think of is that we pay in rental cheques from 'Welcome Cottages' regularly .Can they Tax at source?

STIHL and SHINDAIWA start at around £250 in the UK.Any cheaper in France ? The guy at STIHL said you would be wasting your time buying anything cheaper.

It's interesting to note that there is no detail  yet of the Newhaven-Dieppe service on the L.D. website .As far as I understood,with the Seven sisters operating out of le Havre, the new schedule from Newhaven to Dieppe must therefore be in place and equally active for the Cote D'Albatre..On a tangental note yesterday I booked  with Transmanche Ferries for February and was amazed that they had finally found me on their database.Not only that but  did  I know that I had three accounts ?and was also due 37 Euros reward points?They did say it was probably best to cash them in on a journey before before May. 'use 'em or lose 'em 'I. say.

 I'm not sure this is classed as renovation but I have to replace a cracked shower screen on the side of the bath during  my next visit to Dieppe ,Normandy.Could you please tell me where i may buy a new one .Hopefully they are easy to fit as I am a DIY dotard most of the time.

I need to buy one of these on my next visit to France.Can anyone advise on a decent mid priced  product and which retail outlet it may be purchased from .I have easy access to , le Clerc, Auchun -jardin, Bricomarche or maybe it is simpler to buy one in the UK?
