1. -------- I don't know the exact word , but if you ask for the electric lead ( fil ) between ( entre les deux) the spark plug suppressor ( antiparasite )  and the ignition distrubutor ( d'allumage à commande )   ,  you should end up with something resembling a HT lead .             Good luck and when you do find what it is called , let me know         [8-)]
 2.
If you see a fat bloke on a ZRX 1200 it's me - along with a midget on a CBR 600, a big bloke on a Hornet 900, a thin bloke on a Fireplace and a normallish person on a RSV. Have fun...
----------" a thin bloke on a Fireplace "    Thats one up on heated seat and grips , what will that be then 10 or 14 kw ?   [:-))]
 3.
I think we'll give this one a miss as everyone but Socket has other plans. I'll sort something for later.
---------- not to worry Bugbear , I can always occupy myself tommorrow by killing a few more moles and re-setting the traps . Soon have enough to make a pair of gloves !             [:-))]
 4.
Forcast is good for Sunday so who is up for a ride-out ? Any suggestions on where to visit welcome.
------ is the above still on ?  if so count me in . Out of interest where are we going or is it a secret !
 5.   There is no real problems with the ST 1300, or the earlier 1100 . The only time these police bikes are dangerous is when you notice them in your rearview mirror !!     [:@]
 6.
Sorry, 5.  How long are you going to keep this up?[:D]
Glad you pointed this out ,  I panicked , thought my eyesight had gone . First reactoin was to stop drinking , but now I can happily carry on ------------ Cheers cooperlola    [B]
 7.
Don't want to cause any offence, but going off on a totally different tangent...back in the late 60's, in the merchant navy and up the Baltic in the middle of winter, we saw a porn film (16mm in those days, no video). It served 2 purposes, one is rather obvious judging by the amount of testosterone flying about, and if some advertising man had had a litlle foresight, I'm sure it could have resurrected the british motorcycle industry!!
---------- that 16mm must have made a big impact on you to remember it after all these years, and through it all your mind was on the demise of the British Motorcycle Industry---- sad , but unlikely .   This is a site for motocyclists , I suggest you look elsewhere for your posts         Regards socket
 8.
I know I shouldn't encourage you lot but.....[;-)] I saw the film 'Burt Munroe' last night starring Anthony Hopkins about the amazing speed records set by this determined New Zealander!  I really enjoyed it - a great film. Here's the 2 minute trailer if you're interested  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Twgf-vHVkIE&mode=related&search= So what are your favourite biker films?
-----------been better if his sister , Marilyn was riding pillion  [;-)]
 9.
Cheeky  you can go off people you know.  You'll be going to the theatre on your own next time if you carry on this way [:P]
---------- since this cultural thing took off , I've improved by leaps and bounds . The spitting , burping and passing of wind at the dinner table has virtually stopped , and I'm now eating with a spoon , ( knife and fork come later )  My wife is really impressed and reckons that if I continue at this rate of progress I'll be ready for both the Opera and a Honda Deauville by 2010 . -------- so , what do you think of that Sunshine ?    I'm sorry to hear that you have lapsed back into your old ways , going back to those " coarse " activities , like fishing               Regards     Lord  Socket    [:-))]
 10.
You'll have to come and try our bit of river Craig, big Carp that take off like express trains.........................
----------- Carp that take off like express trains , have you forgot , he rides a Buell . Have you not got something slower in there , like maybe a toothless , one fin pike suffering from advanced tail rot,  if you have then Craig might get lucky. [+o(]
 11. Hi Dotty ,              How long ago was it you rode pillion ?  I only ask , because I'm looking at your photo posted on the left . Havn't seen one of those leather helmets since the thirties , although I do recall  SD saying he still wears his on occasions . However for your safety , and not to frighten the next bunch of bikers you come across , I suggest you up-grade to one of those pudding basin jobs of the fifties--- what do you think ?              Regards socket
 12. Just got back , late decision just felt like a rideout . So down tools and away , 150 kms ended up around Cognac . Anyone else went out ? How's the new seat Winegum , comfortable ? or are you still knitting a cover for it !  So Bugbear when's the next organized rideout ?           Regards socket
 13.
...................and what's wrong with Pink..................?
-------- nothing at all Bugbear , but I do sense that the colour choice was not entirely yours, am I right ? or am I right . I've only met Wendy the once and I would'nt dare argue with her either mate. Blame Bauldeagle it's all his fault , getting her to change her mind from a respectable BMW to a Honda Pinky-wing ----- I bet you carn't wait , you're looking forward to it arn't you , come on admit it ---be honest , it's not that bad really--- who is going to be looking at you anyway ? ---------- sorry but everybody     [:-))]
 14.
Spoken like a true Capitalist................................[:D][:D][:D][:D]
----------blimey call me a capitalist ,so come on let us all know what happened yesterday at the Honda showroom ! ----- ordered a Goldwing in pink , how bad is that         [kiss]
 15.
Socket, With powers like that, can you "just mention" that you miss Powerdesal winning the lottery [:D]
Yes , your request to be "just mentioned " is possible . Firstly we will need to negotiate a percentage, secondly there would be Sid's commission to take into account , and  thirdly a four figure donation to the "magnificent seven " who attended the Sunday run-out, ----still want to go ahead with it ?   I know what you're thinking " can I afford this bloke ? " . Well ,I'll tell you , I've lost every game of crib to my son since he arrived and at 1euro a point I've got to claw back my losses--- sorry mate               Regards socket
 16. Yes a good day out , but for me Sunday ended on a high note . When I returned home my son and his wife were waiting , a complete surprise , no advance warning , out of the blue . It was strange because I'd been talking to Sid earlier at Royan, about things we miss in France and I mentioned that my wife and I miss the children just popping round unexpected-----and what happens they do just that .                         Regards socket
 17.
Dodgy CLUTH cable eh well I'll have to have some of that action, can I bet on myself [;-)]
----erm erm Cluth , yes he used to manage Derby County , or am I getting into a mucking fuddle ?      [8-)]
 18.  Hi,      Seven runners tomorrow , so who is going to get lost this time ?  I've got Craig at 3-1 odds on favourite--dodgy cluth cable
 19. --------No  No    SD,  even if Bob T is an "Ugly Mug " , you cannot go round calling fellow BMW riders rude names anymore, you're one of them now , remember .  You gave up that privilage when you sold the Honda .   [:-))]
 20. Hello Bugbear,                       Why not, count me in as long as it's not Cannock again !           [+o(]
 21.    A serious threat to BMW sales must be from the new Moto Guzzi Norge 1200 . After seeing this bike , I was left impressed . What the new Company's owners , management and design teams have achieved in a very short time is praise worthy by anyone's standard . Their sights firmly fixed on the top end of the touring market . This bike has been assembled with great care and the detail reflects this build quality. The finest of engine castings, precision of machined parts, fit and finish of plastics etc., are second to none. All bought in items such as wheels, brakes and fasteners are all from top brands. At the risk of having to change my name and address, I'm going to say , that the overall presentation of this machine has surpassed the standard of BMW by a good margin .                       I am now turning my computer OFF and will not accept calls                       Regards           [Www]
 22. ------------" decrotive planishing "  what a lovely description for wilfull damage . I must remember to repeat that to myself over and over again the  next time I leave L'Eclerc carpark.  Thanks SD , I just know I'm going to feel a whole lot better .   [geek]
 23. ------------ the stains are not to much of a problem Gary, they can easily be removed with an angle grinder, more seriously is all those dents in the tank where he keeps tapping his pipe out   [:@]
 24. Hello SD ,             So how did you get on at the BMW bike doctors to-day ?   Really,--- that bad---- how long ? ---- sorry to hear that , you're going to miss out on half the summer then !   Still think you did the right thing ?     [Www]             Regards socket
 25. ----------- I asume you eventually out accelerated that vidange truck ; not a minute too soon by the look of you     [+o(]
