1. Logan When you talk to the Dell people, ask what "deals" which are being offered that day. There always have some specials and talk "yes" before you get a few deals. Some of the things they're willing to do. Transport // Longer Warantees // Printers cheaper and/or free // Upgrade mouse // More memory // etc., etc.. They keep giving you deals until you say yes. I just bought another Dell last month. I bought the Inspiron 9400 with Vista Business (that's another deal-ask for a bigger level of Vista). It seems that Dell has now a newer version/name but it's always the same. Happy owner-yes. I have four Dells in my house right now. I have one which travelled the whole world with the laptop. It started as a Win95. Later it changed to Win98 and finally Win ME. It's working fine with a Wi-Fi ADSL machine. Good luck. Blackduff
2.
Hello when we were deciding to move to France our first choice was always Normandie. But now I have been looking further south,  Herault, is one area I like but know nothing about, I would appreciate any information about this area, and  why you chose to live where you do, weather ,house prices,  safety, ambiance etc.  Polly !
The Pyrenees Mediterranean area has a lot to offer, if you want to have nice living. Take a look and you'll see this area on this album. No special theme on this site but it's just a collection of "Living" along the coastal area. http://www.pyreneesmediterraneanliving.com/ Blackduff

4. Our kitchen shop told us where to find the granite tops. They said the granite will be very close to the price of a good quality traditional surface. We visited the shop which cuts the granite and we chose the type (and price) that we wanted. We decided we wanted to have two holes for sinks and there was only one cut for the two angles. One other side had a hole for the hob. The holes around the sinks were rounded, which looked quite nice. We chose to have 3 cm thickness. There are 2 cm thickness and use a under border under the top, giving an impression it's 4 cms. We're used this since 1994 and it's great. No downside using this granite. Our granite is from a quarry on the border of Spain and France. If we build again, another granite top will be installed. Blackduff

Gout

I don't have gout but I take allopurinol daily, to try to keep the uric acid under control. So far, so good. I have heard for many years that cherry juice helps people with gout. I do eat a lot of cherries each year but I didn't have any results yet. Didn't gout called to be a King's disease. The rich food and drink caused gout to arrive. Blackduff
6. I think the Nice area might be a good start to search. IBM has operations in that area as well as Texas Instrument. I think that there are other IT types of companies in that area.   Blackduff
7. Rand You can find a lot of good companies in Montpelier and even better choices in Nice. You don't have to head towards Paris. Like the earlier poster, what profession are you have? We can zero back to what you can find in the Mediterranean area.   Blackduff
8. The pelet furnaces haven't mentioned but they're quite nice too. They're supposed to comparitive to normal inserts. I liked the idea that you can program the fire for when you're not home. Big choice of them too.   Blackduff
9. The insert normally has a chamber which has takes fresh air at the bottom of the chamber. The insert has a group of fins on the outside of the cast iron insert. As the fins get hot, the cooler air in the chamber starts to get hot. The heated air moves upward and vents out the top of the chamber. With a turbo (fan), the air moves past across the fins faster than just convection. There is normally a group of ducts are passed from the chamber into other rooms. In my house it would have been under the floors (vide sanitaire) and the hot air will passed into the other places. Certainly there are different variations of the inserts. If you pass through the catalogues at the fireplace shop, you'll see the various ways they work. Without using a turbo, I heat up my main room but the heat doesn't pass into the other rooms. I have a large ceiling (high) and there's an arch into the next room. All of the heat gets trapped in the high ceiling. The turbo would have been a better program for my house. Blackduff
10. We installed an insert when we built the house. I wasn't smart enough to put the "Turbo" fan in the chamber and which flowed threw all of the house. A duct can be passed under the floors and could heat most of the bottom floors. Stop at one of the fireplace shops and see if they have similar. Blackduff
