  1. Hi Cathy Try a nice luke warm bath and a cup of warm milk about 10pm and you should go off like a light and have a lovely sleep. Cheshiregirl.
  2. Hi Cathy Try a cup of hot milk about 22 00 hours before retiring and also a warm bath, this sometimes works for me as I have to same problem. Hope this helps. Cheshiregirl, UK.
  3. Hi there Clair, Thanks for the links and going to have a browse.  Love looking at what's on offer and new items.  Cheshiregirl.
  4. Re the swift arrival of Diable  a pommes de terre (Clay Potatoe Baker.) Hi just to let everyone know my clay potatoe baker arrived at 3 30pm this afternoon Friday.  Ordered it on the net on Monday mid morning and it arrived Friday mid afteroon.  No damage and I am so pleased with it. Many thanks. Cheshiregirl.
  5. Hi again PossumGirl, Yes Lakeland sell some wonderful items and to make it worse for us they have a shop not too far from  our villiage. Re your book "Over Here" have been our local libarary to order it, please would you advise the publisher? Many thanks again PossumGirl.  Can't wait now for our clay potatoe cooker to arrive all the way from France.  Just hope it has made in without getting broken the the shop have packed it well.  Already planning our treat this bank holiday weekend to have baked potatoes in our new replacement cooker but not banking on it if it does not arrive over the weekend then not too disappointed.  Know these things do take time with the post and especially when coming a  long way.  Just can't wait for it to arrive now and getting all exited would you belieive! Will let you know when it arrives and we have ate our first month watering potatoe. Thanks again, Cheshiregirl, UK>
  6. Hello again PossumGirl, Have purchased the clay potatoe baker (diable-a-pomme-de-terre.)  Yes ordered it on the site http://www.cuisnstore.com/diable-a-pomme-de-terre and item is now on its way thanks to you.  It is exactly want I wanted. Once again very many thanks indeed for all your help. Cheshiregirl,  Cheshire, UK.
  7. Hello again PossumGirl, Thank you so much!  Yes success!  The clay potatoe baker selling at Cuisinstore is almost indentical  if not the same as my old one which needs replacing.  I will contact Cuisinstore to try and obtain one.  As I do not speak any French it could be problematic so will contact them on e mail or write to them at Bievres.  Once again thank you PossumGirl for you help with this.  Also thanks indeed to Moonraker and  Catalpa too! Ps  PossumGirl enjoyed reading your brilliant blog was so interesting and yes going to buy your book as can't wait to read it. Thanks again, Cheshiregirl, UK.
  8. Hi PossumGirl, Just finished reading your blog and wow it's magnificent!  We have visited and stayed at Carcassonne when driving on route to Southern Spain.  Found your blog with pictures absolutely wonderful!  Thanks for information re potatoe baker have been on the site you have recommended and also another site that Moonraker said to visit too.  Looking good  now with a clay potatoe baker now in site,  I hope! Cheshiregirl, UK.
  9. Hi again Catalpa Re Clay Potatoe Baker Have been in contact with Lakeland Buying Team who say they are not stocking the item at the present time.  However that's does not solve my problem with obtaining a replacement.  Just hope someone spots one somewhere and will kindly forward a contact address.  It really is a shame that they do not seem to be available here in the UK.  I did purchase my last one from Lakeland.  I have asked them which pottery in France they where made at hoping that I could make contact with them and purchase one but Lakeland have not supplied this information.  Anyway many thanks for your e mail and prompt reply. Cheshiregirl,  Cheshire, UK.
  10. Hi Catalpa, Yes could not agree with you more, the taste of the baked potatoe it like you say charred and smokey far more superior than cooked in the oven or the microwave ovens.  Cheshiregirl.
  11. Hi PossumGirl, Having difficulty with link.  Have entered in La Redoute but not coming up with item in their catalogue. Please could you supply e mail  address or an address to write to purchase from. I am willing to pay postage cost. The advantage of this item is it is useful for camping and caravanning with no mains electric.  When having a BBQ can bake potatoes on gas. I have had a clay potatoe baker for years but it as now cracked and needs replacing and cannot purchase one here in the UK as far as I am aware.  I have searched the internet without finding any on sale in the UK. I really cannot understand as to why these clay potatoe bakers no longer seem to be on sale here in the UK as camping and caravanning is really on the up here due to gobal warming and there is a hugh demand.  Should this article be sold in camping outlets it would sell like hot cakes!  It is a shame as someone is missing a good business opportunity really. Answers greatly appreciated indeed! Cheshiregirl, Cheshire, UK.
  12.  Wanted clay potato baker round in two separate parts with handle top and bottom in cream colour. Please can anyone advise which pottery in France makes this product.  Cannot find a new replacement in the UK. Thank you, Cheshiregirl.
