Hi all, I understand from a local friend that there is a staff meeting at SpeedFerries in Dover today ahead of the Administrators' announcement tomorrow regarding potential buyer(s). Hopefully we'll have a much better pictutre before long. Miggy

Hi there, to clear up any confusion about Eurostar and Eurotunnel: Eurostar runs from London (currently Waterloo, to be moved to St Pancras, I believe,  in the autumn when the CTRL is finally up and running) for people not cars and it is the Eurostar service to Frethun which will be cut along with services to Ashford (Kent). Services also run into Paris, Brussels, Lille.......etc. Eurotunnel runs a shuttle service for cars etc between Folkestone and Calais and nowhere else - and let's hope they don't cut out one of those two destinations!  

Not sure I wholly agree with the practice of individuals changing their hanger and pushing in on busy days - it smacks of  " I'm all right Jack and who cares about how that affects anyone else!"  Got left behind once - I hadn't thought of people changing their hangers and blamed the Shuttle...... now I'm not so sure...... and let's not forget that we're quick to complain when we feel the carriers don't keep their promise, and when they introduce restrictive policies we don't like just so they can keep ahead of the "crooks". Call me old fashioned if you like but you can't always eat your cake as well. Dunno where that came from but can't we all play nicely?    

For information: Have been advised by a trucker pal that due to the discovery of an unexploded WW2 mine the Port of Calais will be closed for about 3 hours on Tuesday morning while the mine is safely disposed of.   

Hi, Does anyone know what's happening about Euroferries? I've seen stuff in the press about them possibly starting up this spring/ summer with channel crossings? It all seems to have gone very quiet...... Miggy
