Sorry to hear that Alcazar, I,ve done this route a dozen times and never once had a problem. In fact coming home I usually hit Rouen at 5-6 pm and its still plain sailing.

Why go through Rouen? Pick up the N15 to Pont De L'Arche about 1 mile after the tunnel ,then pick up the A154, empty any time of day. Only takes 3- 3 1/2 hrs.

We,ve just come back and we had a right time of getting wood. Everyone we tried had sold out and we were told by all of them that we should have got it in June/July.Got some eventually but had to pay 40 euros a stere.We're in the Cher by the way.

Just got back with my new doofer and Oh yes what a smug feeling ,laughed my way through every peage!

How big is your roof? Mine is approx 130 m2 and I've just had a quote to strip and replace any damaged tiles ,replace two of the main ridge beams,replace all the tile battens,replace two cracked side beams,new guttering front and back with downpipes all for 12500 euros. Sounded pretty good to me but wondered what everyone else thought ?
