  1. This posting has just come to my notice (due to several email responses via the website!!) and I have emailed 'beeseley' privately. The posting was made in good faith, by an ex client. I take all your points re: ageism etc, and simply wish to say that the idea was to have a name which 'sticks out' from all the others offering similar services. (I, like the other grannies, am, I can assure you, in full possession of all faculties, - I think I am the oldest, at 50!!) Best wishes Sandie
  2. Does anyone know of gite availability for 8 days from the 6th February, 2002, please? Preferably central/South Vendee. Venise Vert ideal Thanks in advance Sandie
  3. The present owner should get 'a man in' to check the problem, and pay for the house to be treated. The ensuing certificate will be presented at the final signing.
  4. Dont know whether you received my email, but I live in Vendee and can give you a breakdown of costs, and hopefully any other assistance you need. Sandie
  5. Most definitely! The 'friends' just crawl out of the woodwork!! But it does die down after a year or so. Good luck Sandie
  6. Hello! I moved to the Vendee just over a year ago - absolutley brilliant, has its own micro-climate (late 20's all Oct for example); life is calm, stress-free, friendly, you name it; sea; countryside, and wonderful people! Need I say more? If so, my friend, Gill , lives in Charente-Maritime, 2 housr further South, but lovely! Speak to either of us if you want more info! Hope you find your perfect place, we did. Sandie [email protected]
  7. Hi! try the equivalent of manpower; www.anpe.fr You can localise the area and the type of work you are looking for. You dont actually need a carte de sejour as long as you hold a British passport. Teacher assistants are always sought after; teaching English in primary schools is a bit thing at the moment. The Chambre of Comerce is always on the lookout for English (native) speakers, who have 5 years experience of working with adults: pay is about 10.65 per hour, but they provide all the books, etc. Good luck Sandie
