A girl at the yard where we keep our horses in the Uk makes her own fly repellant, which we all use. Will get recipe of her when she her again, but know it has lavender oil, citronella oil and tea bags!! Seems to work though

Used 'park & ride'last year. Very convenient, buses ran every 10 mins or so. Got a deal through FlyBe - don't know who you're flying with but might be worth asking.

A nice easy starter is goats cheese with honey and walnuts - it tastes better than it sounds!! Grill slice of goats cheese on a piece of baguette, place on green salad and drizzle warm honey over top. Sprinkle with walnuts. First had this in Cahors as the cheese course, but makes good starter.

Just spoke to someone who was on last flight from Cherbourg to Southampton - they were lead to believe that Brittany Ferries had brought pressure to bear and this lead to cancellation of service. Don't know any more details.
