one problem is that if your roof moves like a lot of french roofs do is that the panel will not move the same as individial tiles do and might crack as for the price I saw some at 3m but did not check Im going back tomoz and will check then . The singular tiles are very easy to put up and if the roof is not perfectly straight they are easier to put up than a panell unless your roof is perfectly level

When you go on holidays you do not take as many clothes as you have at home so you have to wash more often but with less clothes in the machine than you do at home .As a guest in a gite you do not really think about the owners a lot they are just there in the background as long as the kids behave and use the right manners I would not even give the idea of how many times I (did I say I, when I meant the wife) use the washing machine you just get on with your holiday and enjoy it the best you can knowing there will not be another one for a year

Wanadoo.fr is a joke we get loads of spam  I think they do it on purpose because they sell an aditional antispam package which I for one object to pay  they know dam well when any message says re[4]: or any thing remotely like it is spam or any reference to enlarging private parts. its so bad I get embarassed that anyone looking at my mail when I am on holliday will think I am a pervert  .They have the power to sort it out  I wish I could still use my BTOPENWORLD account I used to call it fit to burn untill I came here

I suppose if we follow every single rule in france we will get nowhere. at the end of the day it depends on what type of person you are. There is no roofwork to be done and plastering and painting is not that dangerous and they arrive next week all this talk of insurance makes me wonder about my own risks .Does anyone do insurance for holiday house improvers that does not cost a arm and a leg.

I have not registered as a resident yet  My house is a holliday home although I spend slightly more time here than the UK only because I have been working on the place when it is finished (soon) I suppose I will have to make up my mind

I have read all the posts about registering motorcycles in France and have come to the conclusion that my hog a chop built out of several bikes and is a bit dubious even in England as its 900 cc engine is registered in a honda 250 frame (the bike frame was built around the head stock) will never be legal in France so if I rode it for less than 6 months and took it back to the UK and then brought it back could I continue to use it on uk plates.I would love to register it legally here but with no chance have I any other option (getting rid of it is not a option) 

Thanks it is as I thought a lot of people do it but strictly it is not legal mainly with a reference to insurence and if anyone has a accident we must say it happend not whilst at work on our house  It is a risk I will take because these guys will drink me dry so I must get something out of them (whilst sober of course)
