1. Unfortunately I have no access to any original documents as the Ex has them but I know we bought the property jointly and if anything happened to either of us (death) our share would be left to our children, I accept that the property has to be sold and in all fairness it doesn't bother me as it was our dream project and hence through divorce "the bubble has burst" as they say, but  I just found it hard to digest that the Ex returned from France a fortnight ago and said he'd put the property on the market, I assumed that consent from both parties would be required, maybe a contact to sign in the post would arrive but nothing at all. I'm totally in limbo thinking about it.
2. Due to a complicated divorce in the UK the court has ordered that both UK and French properties have to be sold and split. Can my Ex put the French property on the market without any signature from me when we jointly own it.?
3. thanks les, some very useful info

5. Does anyone know of a company that does sandblasting and powder coating in 81 bordering 34 ? We have a long decorative iron fence and gates that are not in-situ at present and would be a good idea to get them blasted and painted before re-erecting.
6. These products can be bought from Brico Depot from the "Fumisterie et Accessoires" department. If you can get a catalogue everything is listed with pictures, but these might give you a starting point. flexible stainless steel liner - Tubage polyliss inox single skin flue - Tuyau droit inox It depends on what appliance you are fitting, but, normally you come off the appliance with single skin flue - either into the chimney (if you have one) then convert into Class 1 flexible twin wall liner and run it straight to the top of the chimney, etc - or if no chimney convert into twin wall double insulated flue etc. Hope this helps. shirley

11.
You might find that OSB (oriented strand board), will do the job better and cheaper. Available in a variety of thicknesses, from the majority of general suppliers, is also available in T & G pane...
Cheers Brian Had a word with our builder who has used osb and he thinks it won't be suitable as it will be open to the weather for too long. I found out that Jewsons  in the UK are part of a large group and they have Point P and Lapeyre  builders merchants in France. Any one know a website for them.  Thanks  Shirley
12. We have a house in 81, bordering 34.  later this month we will be re-establishing the floors. I'm looking for a stockist of coated chipboard, by coated I mean a toughened waterproof sealed board as it will be exposed to the weather for a few months. Does anyone know a stockist or supplier?

Bluebells

On the same subject I have been thrilled with the success I have had growing bluebells from seed gathered from the dead heads last year - literally hundreds have come up in two seed trays and I'm going to take them to France next winter. Do give it a try.
16. We will be celebrating 10 years of ownwership at Easter and it was one of the best things we've ever done - and we did it very much on a wing and a prayer ! Every time we go it gets harder to leave / come back and I can't wait for the day when we don't have to ! Good luck .
