  1. Hello all Having sold a few cars here in France, I know that you can sell a car at any time of the duration of the CT. If the CT is over 6 months old you are not obliged to redo it. You simply sell the car 'en état', which puts the onus on the buyer to have the CT done before being able to register it. As long as you have the 'certificat de cessation' signed by the buyer and yourself (which you sometimes need to cancel the insurance anyway), you are covered for anything that happens with the vehicle after the buyer has taken it away. I have done this twice with no problems occurring. Richard
  2. I've just started teaching French to local English people in Brittany. I do not work on the black for obvious reasons and have registered legally and now have my siret number. With all the charges and tax to pay on earnings, if I were to charge ten euros an hour I would only actually earn in the end about four euros. This would make the venture impossible! With the lesson preparation time and the time spent travelling, not to mention the expense of diesel and producing material for the lessons I would actually be making a complete loss of about 3 euros on average!!
