Hi, Well a bit of good news amongst the gloom of bills and breakdowns---I managed to take the door off and disconnect the switch unit which has the on/off and the 5 other temperature selection switches as one piece. I took them into the  shop and asked electrician if he could confirm switch was broken and any chance of putting in a  cheap on/off switch instead of me paying£90.00 for the complete unit. He said the main on /off switch had 2 good spades and 2 not working  and said a simple solution would be to  in unclear to me technically as naturally he spoke very fast french-which had me struggling to understand. So I asked could he do it and I would pay him,. 5minutes later he came back from his workshop with a 5cm.piece of wire with a bayonet connecter crimped on each end. He said connect them to the electric wires females which normally fitted the switch and hey presto. Magic---THE machine washes,only on light not illuminated which is not a problem.however program indicating the position of wash cycle not in correct position but this also gives no problem to wash/rinse and dry etc. Thanks for your suggestions but I  thought this may help others as a solution  with the same problem. Good news---------------- he said no charge------------------ .my present for the year[:D] At least I did not get a bill for inflated repair COST  as normally expected ,when I lived in the U.K.

My set up is salt pool with chlorinater-and pump +sandfilter-so  does the hcl willclog in these-if so how  does it clog-what reaction occurs chemically. thanks

how can that be as  pee contains uric acid -I don'tremember if that will give an alkaline or acidic reaction!!!![:P] If ok I will ask all neighbours to come and have a few beers[B] and check ph level again.

hi, maybe I phrased question wrong--the products you mentioned are the normal recommendations  thai I have used and I wondered if the chemicals I mentioned were suitable or indeed any others  that may be cheaper.

hi, now we are beginning to sort out the pool are there any alternatives to the proprietary products...e.g. for ph-   use of hydrocloric or sulphuric acid ,diluted of course .   ph+   use of sodium hydroxide dissolved in water ??? Appreciate the experts comments.

hi, I have a Phillips cd135 phone which sits on a base and can be used at up to 100metres away. Today,the base ststion is flashing a light which indicates a missed call. However thr phone reads "searcing" and I cannot erase this nor get a call made !!!!!I tried unplugging overnight and recharging but still the same --any ideas please.[8-)]

iIwill ask shop if they can do this as I am not an electrician ,although probably simple to do,as my wife would worry she would get a shock when I play with electrics.  

THE switch is a complete row with 6 selecters with copper spring behind each while the on off  is different and has no spring. T[:D]hey come as one unit and e-spares you can only buy the complete unit!!!modern obsolete design to hit your pocketI think,at £90.00 to replace without labour the shop will charge unless i can connect myself. I might take it in to shop as it will fit into my  estate ,the dishwasher, and see whether they can check it out-at least it saves £30 call out minimum fee.  My wife is already sick of washing dishes by hand--and I CANNOT AFFORD AN EXCHANGE MODEL AS SHE IS NEARLY 70!!!

HI, JUST for your interest I have had a quote for the complete selecter switch of£90!!!!! wow the machine was under £400 new ---it makes me wonder if it is worth repairing--perhaps the wife will wash the dishes the old fashioned way!![:D][:(]

Hi, I have a 10 year old modeel worked without any problem to date,but today on off push button switch will not stay in --light comes on and machine operates if switch held in.   I am thinking of changing one of the other switches which are not used.   Question is when i open door panel there is a plate screwed to it covering the whole door--do i remove this for acces as i do not want water to enter here if switches can be prised out from front of door panel thanks.

Hi. I have for the first time in 8 years noticed pressure on the guage  attched to the sand filter is reading 1.5 and normally 5-6. The system seems to be clean etc. and no leaking water----any suggestions please.   New top fitted 2 months ago as leak noticed in plastic lid.[8-)]

I now have had replies fromthe uk fried and no further problem--------------the wonders of patience,ignorance of the technical workings of computer isp's. bye for now.[:D]

As soon as it was sent a reply cameback stating message rejected by Windows Live Hotmail for policy reasons and a block had been placed against my IP address because they have had complaints. I was told to refer mail to Postmaster.   Each message had same reply. I sent the message received to postmaster and tried alittle later and this messsage was not said to be blocked but I have had no reply from my friend ,so hopefully it is awaiting being read and reply made to me. I will let you know what happens.

Buy a magnetic telescopic tool -not dear and if not long enogh tie to a flexible tree branch or chimney sweep rod. of corse if lid is plastic forget it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, I SENT A MESSAGE TO A FRIEND  AND MESSAGE NOT RECEIVED. It was blocked and the reason was that there was a complaint re a message from my IP  address.!! This is the first time I have ever had a block in over 15 years of using e-mail. Is the message blocked by the recipient or by the recipient's internet provider and how do I go about unblocking mail to this friend.?? I have not sent anymail of any obnoxious subject or photos so I am at a LOSS to know what has happened. IS IT POSSIBLE FOR A THIRD PARTY TO ENTER MY MESSAGES AND ADD A SPURIOUS MESSAGE TO IT CAUSINGTHE PROBLEM??? THANKS.[8-)]  

thanks, The original is a 9v re-chargeable hand sized cleaner  -like a car cleaner.about 12 " long. The cleaner was bought in France and the charger I have found  states input 230v   output  9v 150mA polarity -  @   +. the@ sign is to represent symbol on charger which is a cirle within a circle and I presume this is the end of the wire from the charger which you put into the cleaner.Similar to some car phone chargers. This and the cleaner have made in PRC  STAMPED ON THEM so I assume this is the one which matches my cleaner. DOES THIS CLARIFY IT BETTER, Thanks.   It is not a new one bought but found inmy house as we have not used the small cleaner for some time.

Hi, I was not sure where to post this simple message but this forum has the answer. I MISPLACED A CHARGER TO USE WITH A ROWENTA AC130 WET/DRY SMALL VACCUM CLEANER with Ni-Cd battery. I have at home others marked 230v-50hz output 9v-150mA and another 9v-500mA both which light up the green charge light. Since I might sell at vide grenier I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THERE ARE ANY PROBLEMS USING 150 OR500mA.   Thanks.[8-)]

hi Gluestick, I CHECKED HANDLE AND IT IS NOT GRP -SOME KIND OF PLASTIC WITH A  METAL  ROD/CORE AND HOLES 3MM DIAMETER.THESE  ARE NOT RIGHT THROUGH THE METAL,JUST THE PLASTIC. Name of handle orshould I say handle of the handle-is Revex and label states MCH trimatier masse/merlin. holes start4 cm from head end and then 18 cm to next one and 32cm to the next ones .  total length of handle is about 90cm. TOO WET TODAY TO START SPLITTIG WOOD BUT I WILL BE CAREFULL-TOO OLD TO WISH TO BE INCAPACITATED OR DECAPITATED![:)]
