Hi It might be you have the same problem as us. We use a Neuf box. It seems that when the calls have to go thought a "live box" there is a problem. It could be your line is not good enoght. What speed broadband do you get? If only 512 then i think, that might be the problem, and i think your stuck with it. Sorry nich

It's at it again, I did think things were better. But found out yesterday that someone in the UK tried 4 times off and on all day to get me, but the line was engaged. Thing is i wasn't on the phone. nichthewood

Well with the water looking greener by the day, I've bitten the bullet.The Ph has gone up this morning so PH minus is in. Tomorrow i will shock again with Anti-algae. Please let it work. A couple of questions. How long after the treatment, before we can use the pool? I have just bought more PH minus , Algicide choc and floculant Sacha's .Are they the same for Chloride pools and Chloride free pools? They are a lot cheaper at Auchan that the main pool dealer, but they sell only Chloride treatments..   Thanks PS is poolman on holiday?  

Thanks baz, but as I'm using Polymeric Biguanides ( Baquacil) surely a chloride based anti-algae treatment  is no good? Would bad sand cause this problem? nich  

Hi Can anyone help please? Long story We opened our pool beginning of April. It was very green and dirty. We cleaned the pool, filter and pump. Treated with an anti algae shock. After a few days, repeated the process, (without the algae shock). Although the pool is clean, there was a greenish tint still present. The pool has a good Ph balance. I cleaned it every day and backwash every other. The water was still not “blue” and everyday there I deposits of algae on the ledges of the pool. Beginning of May, algae shocked again. Still no change. Last week half emptied the pool and algae shocked the remaining water. Refilled the next day. Pool Ph is still fine. Disinfectant is high. The water still has a green tint and the ledges are still getting algae lines in the morning. I am cleaning, vacuuming etc ever day.  There are no trees etc near the pool and it is very clean. We have guests arriving on Saturday and I'm starting to panic. We don’t use Chloride. We use “Jikatop, Jikecill Baquacheck etc. In previous years the pool has been brilliant. Could we need to change the sand, it is 4 years old? Thanks nich

Hi I have not dealt with this Polypool so this might not be relevant. I through a ad in LF, bought a preformed pool and kit , from a UK based company and it too was manufactured in France. I though by buying from a UK company i would get the back up if i needed it. NO i was wrong. We did get the pool, pump filter etc. the instructions were next to useless. The pool bulb did not work. We had to buy a new one from the local pool shop. Whenever we tried to contact "Our pool supplier" we go no response" the ad in LF disappeared, although it had been there for ages before. To top it all we were told that we had (and did) have to pay up front, cos the France company would not deliver until it was paid. Wrong. When the nice driver delivered our pool not only did he spend a couple of his hours helping our digger man but also told us that the 2" pipe we had bought was not thick enough (how were we to know it wasn't in the instructions). Also the pump equipment was meant to be assembled on a pallet, no it was in several boxes with no instructions. To top it all he left us the BILL to be sent to the company in the UK. We opened it and............... he MADE over £1500 for arranging the delivery. So, there is a firm in Dissay nr Poitiers that manufactures pools and i am sure they will deliver and supply the kit as well. Stay local its easier and save. nichthewood   www.howittgites.com

Hi sorry can't help you with this one, but will watch the responses as my Neuf box does the same . I did as someone suggested change the adsl filter but although it doesn't seem as bad , it still does it.   www.howittgites.com    

We have a 3 bedroom farmhouse and it takes 2 of us about 6 hrs each to clean before new guests. We work as a team, my wife does the beds, kitchen crockery and bathrooms. I do the cobwebs, dusting hoovering windows etc. Don't now what we will do next year when we let the Gite as well.   nichthewood www.howittgites.com  

Hi Sorry to high-jack your post, but something you wrote got me a wondering. I have a sky box with blue house card (free channel's only) but cant pick up any French channel's. Can this be changed as we would like French channels as well?  

Hi Pierre Thanks for the suggestion's, But as i have degrouped and don't have a separate phone line, everything comes out of our Neuf box. Its plugged straight into the phone socket and the phone and PC is plugged into it.   thanks anyway nich the wood

Hi We signed up for the de-group neuf package. We get free calls to the uk and France, 512 meg internet access. We have been very happy with the service and a seamless changeover from orange. We do however have a problem sometimes , we loose the phone line and internet connection , not always at the same time ???? it can be off for 10 mins or 5 hrs. There seems to be no pattern. can anyone help. We wondered if there could be a fault in the Neuf box itself, or the phone line is bad from the exchange. (We can't recieve TV)   nichthewood
