I paid the 'married women's stamp' as I was advised to all those years ago and since lived to regret it! However yesterday I had a letter from Newcastle saying I was to be awarded a state pension after all. (Took 8 years arriving.) Not enough to make me rich - 39 pence a week , back dated to March 2005 and to be paid yearly just before Christmas. Whoopee! Today I received my E121, which is great.

Sorry for the delay in replying. Daughter says Ibis was very basic, didn't have a kid's menu, the service was a bit 'faulty towers' and the bathroom was 'grotty'.. She says to tell you that Holiday Inn Express is closer, looked much better and has a free courtesy coach to the airport every 10 minutes. Don't know the rates though. Try potsing your question in the general postbag here, it's in the Legal section - did you realise? Maureen

My daughter and family recently stayed at the Ibis by Luton Airport also for an early morning departure and were less than impressed to say the least. Sorry I can't give you a positive recommendation, just a warning from their experience! Perhaps someone else has a better suggestion. Good luck!

Can anyone recommend an architect in 56 please. I've looked in the Pages Jaunes, but would prefer personal recommendation. We want to re-jig the interior and possibly develop the barn. (Cost allowing!)
