Does anyone know if you can plug in directly small speakers 4 ohm impedance (ie no amplifier) to a sky or other sat receiver with audio LH & RH output sockets.It means they can be remote and you can turn the tv off for radio programmes. 

Any one know the where the relevant legal issues are documented with regard to the taxation i.e TVA. This property is our prime residence and we are also tax resident in France.   

Has anyone had problems loging on to tiscali for the last couple of days.When I tried via my dial up connection even before dialing has finished I can hear a french voice announcment but cannot understand what is being said  and then a window opens to say attempt failed ! Tried again late afternoon all works fine The same occured the following day

   We have a new build in progress nearing completion, drainage pipes have just been laid to connect to the village system at the edge of our plot.We have days of rain , we have moat around the house walls so I have dug a ditch to try and drain away this deluge to the roadway, I find the mains drainage pipes laid just in the top soil only about 8 inchs below the surface and only one rodding point with 2 sharp elbows before any straight pipes. Can anyone point me in the direction for official french standards of installation mains drainage pipes, I would expect them to be similar  to UK! Jeff

We too can recommend IGC particularly at St. Foy La Grande (Charrisa) and certainly do not recommend Maisons ***.  (We obviously can't put why here but can give information privately if required.)  Good luck. Jeff.
