  1. for diabetes care, it's pretty impressive how the French healthcare system covers essential supplies. Back in my hometown, I knew people who had to jump through hoops to get the right medications and supplies, so it's a relief to hear that France typically has good coverage. One thing I'd recommend is keeping all your medical records organized. It might sound like a chore, but having a clear history of your diabetes treatment can make things smoother when discussing treatment options with your new healthcare team.
  2. am... it might not be a strict requirement by French border officials, having a letter of invitation can serve as a helpful document to assure your brother-in-law and potentially ease the immigration process. While this letter may not be mandatory, it can provide your brother-in-law with peace of mind, especially if he tends to be cautious. It's always a good idea to check the latest travel requirements and recommendations from the French embassy or consulate in the UK, just to be sure there haven't been any recent changes in entry procedures or documentation.

    cabbage

For the first time ever, I've had some hollow cabbages. They were roundhead white cabbages, gifted to me as seedlings to fill a gap. Thank goodness I had a full bed of good ones elsewhere! I planted them, put slug pellets around them and then covered them in enviromesh. They grew large, they looked fabulous. People walking by commented on how good they looked. And then I pulled them. The outside layers were perfect with no damage but the insides were totally eaten away. Only the occasional tiny slug around.
  4. Spring has sprung, as have the plants and weeds. Is this a weed? I don't remember planting something between sedum and aqualiga, but I may have forgotten! I found a similar plant appearing in my mint, which suggests a weed. Thank you!
  5. Aluminum is more likely to leach into food, and at higher levels, in acidic and liquid food solutions like lemon and tomato juice than in those containing alcohol or salt. Leaching levels climb even more when spice is added to food that's cooked in aluminium foil.
  6. although this thread is old but yes this tip is good.
