albf, I have lived in seven different countries and spent less than a third of my life in UK more in France which makes me a kind of stateless mongrel, I guess. Whoever the Brits are that I have in mind, I dont know them, understand their values or particularly like them.

Menthe, maybe you or anyone else who sees lots of Brit tourists, can tell me whether it is obligatory for Brit men to shave their heads and then rub on some sort of shiny polish so that they seem to glow in the dark?

Thanks, I check meteofrance and others regularly, no longer trust any of them.
But there is something else going on too; several times in the last ten or so nights there have been thunderlike noises rolling across the sky, far, far too noisy for regular planes. I can only suppose they are those huge U S transport planes bringing whatever for Ukraine but not flying too high. Weird or what?

Good Bobo, no otherwise they might have been wrong or have to change which puts them under the spotlight. Inthink this regulation dates from the time when there was only one sink in the house, in the kitchen and the loo was a drafty ( ok, draughty) hut at the bottom of the garden . Anything beyond that was seen as luxury.

I have never understood why extra bathrooms should be seen as a luxury and cause the Foncière to rise. Surprised it has not been dropped. Bureaucratic stupidity IMNVHO.

If anyone happened to be going to the UK, could it be possible to get this medication there, maybe with a prescription from a walk in private surgery, if they still exist.

That doesn't surprise me at all. I imagine that there is quite an “industry” in passing cards round, faking them etc as there is for claiming benefits.

How is the water level round you, getting short, drying out, small rivers disappearing, nappe phreatique lower than average? My local river level is still above the historic average this year which should mean, I hope that the underground reserves are also higher.
Any banning or use limiting orders in place, eg filling swimming pools?
No rain for a month though.

On the bank a counts declaration page it asks how many accounts you have and you list them; have you numbered more than you actually have? If so, reduce that number until it is the same as the number of those declared. ( my memory is hazy but I think it is like that.)
Alternatively, declare no bank accounts, send in your tax form and then send them an email explaining the problem you had and declaring the bank accounts there and ask them to transfer them.
