We are moving to Brittany from Cornwall soon and will be taking a van load of personal items with us, including 'fridge, washing machine,furniture, etc. Is it necessary to make a full inventory of our possessions for Customs inspection? Having searched the archives of this forum it would appear that the requirement to do so ceased in 1992. However, the 2003 edition of "Going to live in France", by Alan Hart says that an itemised inventory must be made for Customs inspection. Advice please!!

We are moving from Cornwall to Huelgoat in July or August, the date of the move is dependant on the progress of the house purchase. We have a friend bringing some of our personal items in a Mercedes High-Top LWB Sprinter. (Whatever that is!!??). He will be returning from Roscoff to Plymouth un-laden and is keen to try to find a return load. If you have any items to travel from Brittany to the South West of England and are not concerned on the actual date of travel, please contact me. I can confirm the date of the return trip in due course.
