Don't know if my allergies are worse; indeed don't know what I might be allergic to. But I accept that during spring and autumn, my cough gets a lot worse.
I take a prescription antihistamine year round and if my cough is caused by phlegm, I take a sachet of "Exomuc" and that soon calms things. If I can't sleep at all due to coughing, I take a teaspoonful of a sirop for dry coughs or simply a Dafalgan.
Take my inhalers as directed but have taken the same ones for over 30 years and the pneumo says don't change anything so I don't.
The rest of the time, I ignore the cough and do all the things I'd normally do, including being outdoors as much as possible. Fortunately I don't get runny eyes or nose.
I’m mostly allergic indoors. In fact I am better outside….but then something hits me outside…and I am back to square one.
Interesting thing is, I have no allergy when in the UK. Nothing…rien……or by the sea or up a mountain in France. Just here. Where I live.
I can’t stop coughing, sneezing….runny nose.
Its mad. Im going mad.

Mr Betise suffers from horrible hay fever, but since he started taking 3 tablets par jour, he no longer has to take antihistamines, and despite often being in our garden, cutting the lawn etc (and we live in a very rural setting) he can live a normal life. We pooh poohed the idea, but it really does work for him.
I will hunt them down and give them a give them a go. I will try anything.

Yep, it works a treat until…
* the machine does not recognise the bar code….and then you have to wait for someone.
* the machine does not recognise the weight….and then you have to wait for someone.
* the machine thinks you are under 18 when buying alcohol….so you have to wait for someone and show them your grey hair.
* you don’t have a club card…so you have to wait for someone.
* the machine thinks you could be a thief….so all the goods have to be rescanned by someone.
* the machine asks you if you want a recepit. You say no…but now you can’t get out because you need the receipt to open barrier.
* In Lerroy there is no space to put large items and trolleys are not allowed. So you go back to the one and only till and join the very long queue…..whiist the 8 self cash desks are empty.
oooh I could go on.
They save money with these things….but my weekly shop bill has gone 30%. So I am not benefiting even though I am doing all the work.

If the French population got a back bone and protest at the French retailing industry as a whole prices would be lower. But they just accept it.
It is utter madness the prices you pay in France for literally cràp compared to the Uk…for example.
Our local Auchan (next to an ephad/old peoples home) has special prices…..and the elderly pay for it. Drive 5 minutes to another Auchan and everything is very much cheaper. But they don’t, cause they can’t drive.
Just don’t get me started on this issue. Bandits come to mind.
I have a tyre pump BTW. First thing I bought in France.
We need an Asda or Sainsburys in France. Carrefour, Auchan, Leclerc…can go…******

I hate self servive checkouts. They are just for greedy shareholders because food retailers don’t want to employ people and pay the money to them instead.
We have to pay not only inflated food prices in France but we also have to sell it ourselves.
Next customers will be stacking the shelves as well.
The criminals are not the ones weighing the wrong veg. I don’t condone crime in any form or manner but in this case I would turn a blind eye.
Anyway, that is my rant over.

P.s don’t get me started about not being able to check your tyre pressures in France. Not surprised there are so many accidents. Scandal !-

I want to watch the snooker. Ronnie vs Mark Williams. That is a cool match to watch.
But I can’t tune into ITV4 HD on my dish…..ITV4…(non Hd is fine). But that is not snooker…it some crappy game show.
Islam telly is fine. Every channel works fine.
I can buy a house in Syria for 3000 euros. According to the Islam channel I am watching now.
But I don’t want a house in Syria…I want to watch the snooker.
What is going on here ?

Dont waste your time in life, blood or money renovating anything in France.
It will bring you nothing.
If you want to move to France go to a city and buy a flat or 2 up and 2 down.

Well, believe it or not I was an expiring snooker and pool player when I younger and was only interested in becoming professional. But university got in the way and that was it. But I am still a snooker geek.
I used to play pool in France in a team and reached the dizzy heights of being Number 56 out of 10,000 players in my first season. Then I injured my shoulder….and my career in pool and snooker ended. I could have easily become no 1 had it not been for the injury.
I have a full size snooker table in my house but I can’t play anymore…so I will dismantle it. When I am ready to say goodbye.
Anyway, back to the final. Jones lost the final in the first two sessions. He was knackered from the previous day I guess.
Had he not fallen so far behind on Sunday……I think the final was his to win. Loverly player to watch. Really like his style.
Kyren is an excellent player but boring to watch.
At the end of the day, the best player of the week one. So that is fair enough.
