Gardengirl
Just heard on 7pm news that 6 boats are waiting to berth at Dover; God speed in to port for all of them.

She is also claustophobic and wouldn't countenance the tunnel in any circumstances.I got a phone call at 8.30 pm UK time to say she had docked and cleared the port. Unfortunately all the Hotels seemed to be full so she was forced to drive on.8 hours or so bouncing about on the 'oggin' will not have made for a happy lady. Gardengirl
Very glad she arrived safely, Steve. She must have been very tired after that without having to then drive on. Sounds as though she's going to need a good long rest on arrival.
Russethouse
She has my sympathy - we once got 'laid off' outside Dover and despite foul weather I spent quite a bit of time outside, as the inside was hot and crowded. The result was that I was soaked, cold, sick and exhausted...best wishes to your other half..

Cendrillon
Now we have the calm after the storm. Weather today, Sunday, is calm, sunny and such a contrast to yesterday's stormy outburst.
powerdesal
I hope it's calm on Wednesday. She was due to return on Tuesday but the forecast is bad, hence rebooked for Wednesday.
