Pickles
It's Easter, so to kick off the holiday season nicely, of course the French ATC has gone on strike for two days. Ryanair has apparently cancelled 250 flights.
Gardengirl
It will also affect some bus routes.I've just had an email from Edgar, the bus company in the Gard, saying that due to the inter professional strike, some buses won't be running and gives a list of those which will be running. idun
I am not even sure if they lose all their pay anyway when on strike. I have heard all sorts of things over the years and suspect that their must be truth in this somewhere. Helas, as most things salaire related, people do not really talk about it. Cendrillon
CPAM it seems are joining in the fun, I read in the paper that CPAM La Rochelle are closing all day tomorrow. I gather there will be major talks tomorrow for Radio France. You just cannot beat a bit of good solidarity!Oh and the CRS who are on special duties are taking sick leave as their high alert duties are too much for them since Charlie Hebdo shootings.Note, we have no TV and there's not much on the radio so I have resorted to reading the whole of our daily paper from beginning to end![;-)]
