les Posted November 27, 2008 Share Posted November 27, 2008 we had a house built 3 years ago but fell out with builder. we are now hoping to sell but have been asked for garantee. this may be difficult with the builder so can anyone tell me if i can take out an insurance similar to NHBC please . If he won't go and see your Mairie.Technically even DIY restorations are supposed to be guaranteed but it is next to impossible to find an insurance company who will issue a policy under such circumstances, and understandably so.
