New Build Experiences - Dept. 85

Hello having searched unsuccessfully for a property in the area that will suit us, we think the best option for us will be to have a house built.There are many advertisements each week in the departmental newpapers but I want to know more about the hidden costs that are not included in the advertised prices so we can get a clearer idea of costings. (* in addition to the terrain and branchement costs).I have asked for brochures that never arrive and have contacted a few of these companies but as they specialize in new builds ONCE you have purchased your plot of land AND have the CU in place, they do not seem particularly interested in dealing with us or answering our questions even though we are genuine in our request for information .
We need the information before we go ahead and buy the land to see that the whole thing will be viable for us to do. Can anyone recommend someone/or a company that we can speak to - which from experience they have found to be helpful and willing to answer related questions?
