Saintes, telephone, TV, ADSL package?

Hi

Will be moving to Saintes Weds 20th April, unfortunately did not have time to deal with the communication aspects while I was there this week.

Would be grateful to hear what others in the area have managed to find regarding Telephone, ADSL, and TV/ cable.

I would like at least to get the ball rolling on the telephone so its connected when we arrive in 2 weeks.

If you call France Telecom in London they will arrange the phone connection for you, sorry don't have the number at present but I'm sure someone will.

We live 10 minutes out of Saintes and found a useful contact at France Telecom, who speaks very good english. Her name is Pascal Penon and her direct number is 0545901732. I haven't needed to speak to her for a while but hopefuly she is still there. I think she is based in Angouleme but it didn't seem to be a problem. She sorted everything for us - changing line to our name, setting up a new line, email account and ADSL. She also sent through instructions on how to use the message service (like BT callminder) in english.
