Dog Posted December 6, 2006 Share Posted December 6, 2006 I have yet to find a Doctor or Vet that does not speak some English.If you do not like using the phone (I don't) I would suggest getting to the Vets at 1.55pm and being the first in - I have never failed to be seen this way.Remember animals cannot talk the Vet will soon understand the problem.Just get down the Vets if the animal needs one.I have found Vets costs in France to be much cheaper than in UK same goes for the Docs.Good Luck. P Posted December 7, 2006 Author Share Posted December 7, 2006 Dog - thanks for the advice that most speak some English.Pat - thanks for the contact, always useful to have a contact who does have good English (would be better though, if we had good French) and an hours journey is not too bad.Should complete on a house at the end of January and a few weeks later we will bring some items over and the dog and spend a couple of weks there. So of immediate need will be to get her the jabs so that she can re-enter the UK (does she have to go up to passport control on her own or can I go with her and she will only be able to carry her passport in her mouth and it might get a little soggy?[:D]).However, we are also keen to know where to take her if something serious should happen.Paul Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
