val douest Posted July 10, 2007 Share Posted July 10, 2007 I don't know how close to Pau or Lourdes you want to be, but some friends stayed in an excellent Chambre d'hôtes this summer in Maubourguet (about 25 minutes north of Tarbes). It is English run, located in a side street just off the square in the centre of this friendly little market town and has a private walled garden with a pool. The website is www.maisonatmaubourguet.com. Otherwise, there is a 3* hotel/restaurant called Le Viscos in the pretty little village of Saint Savin south of Lourdes.
