IF they are earning then their salary has to be put on your form too, ofcourse IF they are not then get the allowance. I don't understand what is happening with your french tax declaration. Why can you not put down the full amount of UK tax you have paid? I realise that the french will not reimburse you for tax paid in the UK, but I do not get why and how or why they cannot take the full UK tax paid amount into account. minnie Posted April 14, 2014 Share Posted April 14, 2014 Lehaut, I too am on a Government pension. You have no choice other than to pay tax in UK and according to UK rates. However, as you are French resident, and if the french tax authorities decree that had you been assessed under the French system you would have paid more, as I understand it, they can charge you the extra.
