MrCanary
Does anybody know of a good, reasonably priced, wrought iron worker in the Loches/Chatillon area?I want wrought iron railings across the lower halves of my two lucarne windows...
Aitch
There is an excellent ferronerie at Rivarennes, on the N151, between Scoury and St. Gaultier, as you head eastwards towards Argenton. An excellent display of their products and they do railings, staircases etc. Probably something to satisfy your ideas. It's on the main road so you cannot miss it. We haven't bought from there but have called in. Don't know what their prices are, but if you want a day out, it' s worth the hours trip from Loches. A google search or Pages Juanes might give a little more info. I don't know if they have a website.Aitch

Aitch
From Argenton you will be heading west in the direction of Le Blanc. From the centre of Argenton take the D927 with St Gaultier, also signposted. You will go through Pont Chretien (which is about 1/2 distance between Argenton and St. Gaultier). As you approach the roundabout for St Gaulier do not take the road for the Centre Ville, but carry on up the hill to the traffic lights and go through them with the road. You will see the Champion Supermarket over to your left and after the junction, the cemetary on your right. Carry on the N151 and beware at the bottom of the hill they are doing some new road works. After these road works, about 500mts, the ferronerie is on your right. You can't miss it. Drive in to park.Hope this helps,Aitch
Ian
There is an ironworking company here in Villegouin (just north of Buzancais). Can't remember their name, but I've seen iron railings and gates around their factory, so I guess they must make them.HTH
