By not putting the second part of the message, it makes me out to be an idiot - perhaps true? You have left just the part asking for an alternative to my christian name - Peter meaning to f*art in French - and the obvious answer is Pierre as someone has indeed posted. My point was to know the 'popularity' of my suggested new name or whether it was terrbly 'dated'. I have shown my original to three people, one of whom teaches English at Oxford, and all agree the whole point has been destroyed by the editing.
