I would be grateful to know why my message posted earlier today was so heavily cut. By not putting the second part of the message, it makes me out to be an idiot - perhaps true? You have left just the part asking for an alternative to my christian name - Peter meaning to f*art in French - and the obvious answer is Pierre as someone has indeed posted. My point was to know the 'popularity' of my suggested new name or whether it was terrbly 'dated'. I have shown my original to three people, one of whom teaches English at Oxford, and all agree the whole point has been destroyed by the editing. Grateful to know if you agree although I suspect you will not!
