Jumping to the last page of a topic

If a topic covers more than one page is it possible to jump to the 2nd or 5th page etc, and not have to wait to load each page in order before going to the link at the bottom of the page to get to the next consecutive page.

Have you noticed after the name of the topic there are sometimes some numbers representing the no. of pages that this topic has extended to?  You can avoid pages you've already read by clicking your mouse on the page you want.  If you are already in the topic and want to page forward, I don't think there's a quicker way to do it.

Sorry I should have said if for example I am already at the end of page 2 and want to go to page 4, you can't get to that link unless you are on page 1.

Also when you are sent a forum prompt that you have a new message on a topic this link aways takes you to the first page rather than the last page where the latest message is likely to be.
