I do not want the usual type, the type I would like is like a proper fire (coal effect for example) as I am one of the few in France who does not have a log burner (no facility for one) I would like to have something to look at I know you can get them in England but wondered whether they are here in France Sorry if this is in the wrong place Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Eos Posted December 11, 2007 Share Posted December 11, 2007 I'm afraid I don't know about the gas option but there is certainly an electric version which looks like a woodburner, has the flame effect and provides heat. Framboise Posted December 11, 2007 Share Posted December 11, 2007 Likewise, I have seen these somewhere when I was buying those "Homes" magazines by the ton containing all sorts of new-fangled gadgety bits, but now course when I am looking for one I can't find them anywhere. We have a similar problem in that we rather wanted a Real Fire upstairs in the conversion, except there is no fireplace nor provision for one, so we pondered using a gas fire to augment the radiator system that will be fitted up there.
