LesPonts
Does anyone know of a French supplier of huskless sunflower seeds (tournesol ecale) in 20-25kg sacks? Our garden birds are surviving on sacks imported from the UK at the moment but we can't carry on like this forever.....I can't believe, that in the land of sunflowers, we are having so much trouble finding them for a reasonable price! Bugsy
Just go down to your local grain co-operative silo and they will sell you stacks of the stuff.
LesPonts
Thanks Gary......but are you sure they'll sell us them without the husks?
Bugsy
They do near us, (86), and I believe that it's run through rollers which breaks the husk, which is then blown away with a fan mechanism. If you want, I'll get you the phone number of the silo, next time I'm passing.
