paw862 Posted May 29, 2009 Share Posted May 29, 2009 I've just been watching a Greater Spotted Woodpecker eating cherries outside my window. He flies in with the cherry, inserts it into the split at the top of an old vine stake, and sits there and merrily hacks away at it with his beak.
