We watched (and recorded) for a full 5 minutes, two biche stags one sunny evening in the field by the side of our house (Gers). As it seems the wrong time of year, I can only think that this was the case of an old stag being challenged by a younger buck seeing an opportunity. The deer were so engrossed that at one point I was able to film them from just 10/15 metres as they continued to challenge each other. One of them looked in a bit of a sorry state.
