la-vie-en-rose Posted June 14, 2013 Share Posted June 14, 2013 We are on the borders of the Haute Garonne and the Gers, near Samatan.For the first time ever I am finding dead bats in and around our barn - a long-eared and a short-eared.And the little colony of pipistrelles seems to have disappeared.Is anyone else finding dead bats - and does anyone know why?I would guess it's due to the terrible spring, so there are far fewer insects than usual; worse, are there new insecticides that are killing the bat population?Any comments?
