Translation software for Macintosh computers

Its not difficult to obtain a reasonable translation by pasting text into a web based service.

Some though restrict the number of words at a time (one site that I was using a few weeks ago, at that time allowed a full page of text in at a time, but when I tried yesterday this had been discontinued)

However this ought to be available on ones own machine. Anyone know Mac based software that will do this?
