Chancer
I eat at my nieghbouring brasserie again last night, the food was as good as ever but for the first time no smoky atmosphere!Whilst they could wait for a year before complying with the new law, they have taken the brave (in my mind) step of implementing it straight away despite opposition from many customers. They rely on lunchtime trade, mainly from the factory opposite, the majority of which are serial smokers. They are politely explaining to customers that they are only obeying the new law.I am convinced that they will get new non-smoker customers that previously disliked taking their children there, I hope that in the short term they will make up for the loss of smoking clients but in any case in one year they will have no other places to go.We are going to look at the numbers after one month and I will update then. benedicte
Can anyone update me on the (non) smoking laws in France please? This seems to have passed me by, I didn't realise it was coming in in France, I thought it was at the first stages of legislation?
